Exploring our Mission Statement; we’ll take a look at our new mission statement, adopted last fall (“Celebrating the life-changing love of Christ through worship, teaching, and service”).
Parish Wellness Meeting
The Rev. Canon Kate Cullinane will join us today after the 10:45 service (about noon) to lead a parish wellness meeting focused on the present and future of St. John’s.
The office will be closed Monday, January 16 in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday.
Annual Report Summaries Due
If you coordinated or headed a ministry during 2011, we want to hear from you in our annual report. Please submit a summary of your ministry’s activities to the church office by January 16.
Celebration of Life for Persis Ledbetter will be held Friday, January 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Women’s Group – Thursday, January 26 at 5:30 p.m.
Want to know the low down on the upcoming events at the church? Drop in at the Women of St John’s dinner. We meet every other month, usually the third Thursday of the month hosted by 2-3 volunteers and enjoyed by all. Our dinners consist of a dash of flavor, a pound of fun. Sign ups are at the back of the church. It’s great to just get together and relax with friends.
Annual Parish Meeting
Save the date: Sunday, January 29 will be our annual parish meeting. We will gather after the 10:45 service to enjoy a potluck/finger foods, hear a report on the budget and ministries of the church during the past year, and enjoy fun, fellowship, and awards for outstanding ministry in 2011. Please join us; the meeting should take about an hour. Sign-ups for food will be on the Ministry Table.
