Families of the Diocese of San Joaquin are invited to Camp San Joaquin Family Camp July 19-22, 2012. Bishop Nedi Rivera will lead the “Hogwarts School of Magic” themed weekend, where campers discover that LOVE is truly the GREATEST MAGIC that exists. Camp San Joaquin is located in the Giant Sequoia National Monument at a cool 7,000 foot elevation, deep in the dense forest of the Sierra Nevada. Camp in cabins, eat in the dining hall, and enjoy campfires, crafts, and games. Registration forms are available on the Ministry Table, and more information is online at campsanjoaquin.com and diosanjoaquin.org.
Everyone is invited to dinner Friday, June 29, at 5:30 p.m. Sign up today on the Ministry Table to donate food for our community dinner or to help serve. We’ll continue to offer a dinner at 5:30 p.m. in the church on the last Friday of each month. All are welcome! There is no charge for dinner, though donations are accepted. The Jon Bon Jovi Foundation instituted a program called Soul Kitchen to help feed homeless and low-income families; the Soul Kitchen at St. John’s has similar goals for the Lodi community. If you would like to help, please contact Kathy Girard or Paula Saubolle.
