Youth Group Kick-off Starts Tonight!

Youth in junior high and high school: We will begin weekly youth group meetings  today, February 24 and meet every Sunday at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Come and bring a friend to our kick-off . It’s game night! Enjoy games, food, fun and fellowship.

Lenten Soup Supper Study

Join us this Wednesday, February 27 for our Lenten Soup Supper and Study of the Season! 

Come for Evening Prayer at 5:00
Enjoy Fellowship and Soup from at 5:30
Classes with child care from 6:00 to 7:00
Compline 7:00 

Beginning February 27, our Lenten Soup Supper study will examine Diana Butler Bass’s Christianity for the Rest of Us. You can obtain a copy on your own, or get a copy from in the Parish Office, we will have about a dozen available, for which you can reimburse the Church if you like. The cost is $12.00.

Are you asking yourself, “how can I help with the soup suppers?” Good news! A sign-up sheet is available at the back of the church. All help is greatly appreciated!

Vacation Announcement

Pastor Jim and Joni are away for a vacation week.  Pastor Jim will be back next Sunday. If you need pastoral assistance this week, please contact the Rev. Anne Smith (reverendannesmith@gmail.com) or the church office.

Food Baskets

We would like to thank all of you who continue to be so generous with your food donations to our food baskets. Your generosity has allowed us to reach out to those in our community who are less fortunate. Just a reminder, we cannot accept food packages that have been opened or partially used. Please continue bringing your donations to the baskets at the back of the church.

Men’s BBQ

On Sunday, March 3, starting at 5:00 p.m. join the men of St. John’s for good food, some laughs and friendship. We look forward to seeing old friends and new!

Lenten Devotionals

Lenten devotional are still available on the Ministry Table for anyone who would like them. A meditation is provided for each day in Lent, please help yourself!

Easter Adornments

Our Easter liturgies are adorned with memorial flowers and special Easter music. If you remembered loved ones and blessings last year at this time and would like to repeat your memorial message, please initial the list on the ministry table and put your donation of $25 or more in the plate during offering. If you have not participated in this ministry before and would like your memorial included, you will find a form on the ministry table. Please fill it out and drop it in the plate or the office. We are all richly blessed by special music, banners, bells, brass and more. Deadline to turn in your form is March 24. Your adornment will appear in the Easter bulletin.
