Evensong May 19

St. John’s will celebrate the arrival of Pentecost with a service of Evensong today,  May 19, at 4:00 p.m. in our Nave. This will be an event sponsored by our Deanery (the northern third of our Diocese) with congregations, choirs and clergy from the Deanery involved in the liturgy. It will include a massed choir of members from those churches, readings, Canticles and hymns, centered around the sung service of Evening Prayer found in the Book of Common Prayer.  All parish members are warmly invited to attend.

Donations For Haiti

A special collection is being taken from the pews today.  The collection for today will be given to support the work of the Haiti Task Force.  Checks can be made payable to “Diocese of San Joaquin” with “Haiti” in the memo line.
