Celtic Eucharist for St. John the Baptist Day , Wednesday, June 24, 7:00 p.m.

Fire and Love:
John the Baptist’s Legacy

Celtic Eucharist, Party and Bonfire

Wednesday June 24, 7:00 p.m.

An event celebrating the nativity of John the Baptist and the summer
solstice. Please bring a beverage or snack to share for the potluck party.

On June 24, at 7:00 p.m. there will be an offering of a Celtic Eucharist, using contemporary Celtic prayers and thanksgivings. The theme of the Eucharist is “Fire and Love” as we focus on the ministry of John the Baptist. There will be sung chants and acoustic music. We will acknowledge creation and offer prayers of thanksgiving for the sun and the season. The Eucharist is celebrated in the round and all are invited to stand around the table. Following the service,
(Delta breeze permitting) we will enjoy a small bonfire outdoors.
