Used Eyeglasses for Haiti

We continue to collect used eyeglasses to benefit the children at St Vincent’s School for handicapped children and, indirectly, Foyer Notre Dame. The gift of improved sight is a gift beyond measure—thank you for giving. The deadline for donations is May 16.

Foyer Notre Dame in Haiti

At Foyer Notre Dame, the Episcopal Diocese of Haiti provides residents a place to sleep, meals, community, and safety from the streets. Sponsoring one resident costs $200 per month. Your vestry has set as our goal the sponsorship of one resident for a year—last week we gathered another $125 for a total for the year of $3,182! Put your contribution into one of the envelopes in the pews marked “Haiti.” If we raise enough money to sponsor two ladies, it is all to the good.

Used Eyeglasses for Haiti

A message from Fr. Connor Lynn: Serena Beeks has agreed to carry used eyeglasses to Haiti when she travels in May for the consecration. In less than two months let’s flood our diocesan office with used eyeglasses for the children at St Vincent’s School for handicapped children and, indirectly, Foyer Notre Dame. The gift of improved sight is a gift beyond measure—a great way to push our Lenten observance over the top.
