Announcements about Sunday School

Adult Forum Bible Study Coming June 16

During Pastor Jim’s vacation June 16 through July 7, the Adult Forum will be a Bible study focusing on the New Testament book of Colossians. This wonderful book is a letter from St. Paul to encourage Christians and to spur them on to steadfast faith and growth in Jesus.

Jeannie Canwell will lead the study following the service (beginning at 10:30), four Sundays starting June 16. Please bring your Bibles and come explore the word of God together.

Sunday School Takes Summer Break

Our Sunday School program year ends May 26. Beginning June 2, our Sunday school for grades 1 to 6 will be on break. Children are invited to pick up an activity bag as they come into church and to sit with their families during services. We will resume our regular Sunday school classes on September 8 with a new curriculum at the beginning of the new program year. Teachers, we hope that you will enjoy this “time off” and return refreshed in the fall for another rewarding year of teaching.

Preschool and the nursery will continue to provide lessons and care for our younger children.

Children’s Chapel will continue to meet on the first Sunday of every month.

Youth Group will also take a break from weekly meetings during the summer, but keep your eyes peeled for special events in the coming months!

30-Hour Famine/Youth Group

Our Youth Group has decided to take on world hunger with The World Vision 30-Hour Famine!  The fast will go from 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 31, to  6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1. We will spend our time at the church learning, praying and working. There will be water at all times and scheduled juice breaks. We hope some our fellow parishioners who are not fasting, will prepare our break fast meal for us. Please contact Joyce if you can help. Please contact the youth with donations.  The youth are excited.
