Eugene Friesen and Maeve Gilchrist: Saturday, November 3 at 7:00 pm: $20.00

The Arts at St. John’s is proud to announce a spectacular concert featuring two world-renowned musicians in concert at St. John’s, Saturday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are only $20.00 The artists are cellist, Eugene Friesen and Celtic harpist, Maeve Gilchrist.

Eugene has performed at St. John’s in the past. He is a four-time Grammy Award-winner, and is active internationally as a concert and recording artist, composer, conductor and teacher. Recording credits include five albums of original music, more than 30 CDs with the Paul Winter Consort, and hundreds of tracks featuring his rapturous cello playing on instrumental albums, films, and television scores.

Eugene is an artist-in-residence at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, and on the faculty of the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Maeve Gilchrist, Celtic harpist is described by one critic as “a phenomenal harp player who can make her instrument ring with unparalleled purity.” Born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland she has played as a soloist for internationally renowned orchestras and with traditional Irish folk groups as well as in more contemporary improvisatory settings.
